FIDO Security Keys
You can use your FIDO security keys to sign in to applications.
Manage the Security Key and PIN
Register a FIDO Security Key
The first thing you must do is register your authenticator. You can register up to five security keys. Your administrator defines which method to use to register them.
During First Authentication
Your administrator may instruct you to register your FIDO security key the first time you use it for authentication.
Using My Page

Sign into RSA My Page. Your administrator sends the URL to you.

Go to My Authenticator tab.

Click Register an authenticator, and then select FIDO Security Key. Follow the instructions.

For example, you might need to insert the security key into the USB port and tap the security key. You can change the name if you like.
During authentication, if necessary, connect your authenticator to a device, or enable your authenticator. For example, insert the security key into a computer USB port.
Manage the Security Key and PIN
You might need to create a PIN for it before using it to authenticate. Your administrator might instruct you to use the RSA Security Key Utility to create and manage the PIN.
Note: If version 1.0.0 is already installed on your computer, you can install an upgrade without removing version 1.0.0.
System Requirements
RSA Security Key Utility works with any FIDO2-certified USB security key.
RSA Security Key Utility is supported on the following operating system versions:

Windows 10 version 1909 x64 and x86

Windows 10 version 1903 x64 and x86

Windows 10 version 1809 x64 and x86

Windows 10 version 1803 x64 and x86

Windows 8.1 x64 and x86
Install RSA Security Key Utility
If your administrator has not already installed RSA Security Key Utility, you can install it using an install wizard. Your IT help desk will instruct you on where the files are located.
Procedure

Log on to the computer as an administrator, or install with administrator privileges.

To start the installation wizard, navigate to the correct folder and double-click RSA Security Key Manager x64.msi or RSA Security Key Manager x86.msi.

Click Next to advance through the Welcome dialog boxes.

Read the License Agreement or click Print to print it. When ready, select I accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next.

Click Install. RSA Security Key Utility installs on the local computer. Windows prompts you to allow account control privileges if you set up account control privileges. Click Allow.

Click Finish.
Create or Change Security Key PIN
Procedure

Click Start > RSA > RSA Security Key Utility.
Depending on your configuration, Windows might present User Account Control (UAC) screens to request administrative credentials.

Insert the security key.

Click Create PIN or Change PIN, and follow the instructions.
Reset Security Key
If your PIN is locked, you must reset your security key. You might also choose to reset your key to restore it to its manufacturer default settings.
Procedure

Open RSA Security Key Utility.
Depending on your configuration, Windows might present User Account Control (UAC) screens to request administrative credentials.

Insert the security key.

Click Reset Key and follow the instructions.
Unregister Your Authenticator
If your authenticator expires or becomes lost, you must unregister (delete) it from My Page to keep your account safe. Then, you can register a new one. To unregister an authenticator, sign into My Page and click the trash icon next to it.
